Swirl Fine Art & Design presents Inner Prairie; Unconventionally: New work by resident artist Lindsey Love

Lindsey Love was born and raised in Bassano, Alberta and Graduated from ACAD in 2006. She left Calgary in 2008 to pursue a full-time painting career in Saskatchewan. It was there that she found her sanctuary amongst the magnificent fields and luminous skies. A young artist of just twenty-eight reveals a fresh style that impacts viewers and invites them to enter the moment and just be.” Lindsey has been a resident artist at Swirl Fine Art since its inception, and is now represented in galleries throughout Western Canada.
Growing up on the prairies has given Lindsey a particular aesthetic. She is drawn to subject matter that has a minimal, spacious and peaceful quality. Her desire is to create invitations to contemplation and to counter hastiness. “It is through contemplation that one becomes truly aware and open to life: to the beauty and transcendences in the ordinary. I paint what I know so that the truth of my own experience will resonate with the viewer, and will invite them to enter the moment and just be.”
