  9:00pm Artist in\nattendance.\nArtist Statement: "Epiphanies of the Dai
 ly Committed" explores\nhybridizing the creative techniques and conventi
 ons of fine arts painting with\ncomics. Through first person narratives 
 these artworks aim to represent the\nexperiencing of everyday life as a 
 site that is potentially rich with moments\nof epiphany.\n \nArtist Bio:
  Grant (Earl) Collins is a visual artist whose image\nmaking practices d
 raw on the conventions and techniques of comics and fine arts\npainting.
 \nThroughout his education in Fine Arts and Communications\,\nGrant has 
 pursued his artistic and sociological interests by questioning the\nnatu
 re and social construction of art as it pertains to contemporary culture
 .\n Grant has\ncollaborated on research projects with faculty from Conco
 rdia's Communications\nDepartment (Dr. Matt Soar and Dr.Owen Chapman)\, 
 and has exhibited his artwork\nin a variety of venues throughout Montrea
 l. He has also worked\n\nwith Cadmium\nScenique on a wide range of film 
 and theater projects\, whose clients include:\nCirque de Soleil\, Vancou
 ver 2010 Olympics (opening ceremonies)\, and film\nproductions such as &
 ldquo\;The Aviator&rdquo\;\, &ldquo\;300&rdquo\;\, and &ldquo\;Night at 
 the Museum&rdquo\;. Through\nhis personal painting commissions Grant has
  specialized in large format\,\nhigh-realist\, and specialty painting te
 chniques.\nGrant teaches courses about making comics during the\nsummer 
 at the Ottawa School of Art and lives with his family in Montreal.\n(htt
