Join us for a celebration of art with live music by Suzanne deBussac and exhibition openings.
MUSIC: Always exploring spiritual matters and earthly concerns, singer-songwriter Suzanne deBussac is a committed believer in Kahlil Gibran’s contention that “work is love made visible.” And she’s been loving the work of making music ever since she can remember. Over the years the credentials accumulated: a stint as a music industry executive; producer and programmer with Tranzister, her own communications company; crooning and cresting on the stages of Toronto’s club circuit; and the national release of her debut album The Valley of Baca, a collection of bright, shiny pop tunes full of progressive hooks and rhythms. “Anyone who can appreciate the fine art of songwriting, accompanied by fleeting moments of Kate Bush brilliance, should become intimate with Suzanne de Bussac,” exclaimed Exclaim! magazine. Now, after a period of hiatus devoted to kids and family, she’s returned to performing; and, as ever, she’s blissfully blasting away.
